BMW 1 Series
The 1 Series represents BMW’s compact model family, combining smaller dimensions, everyday practicality and the brand’s traditional driver-focused character. From the first generation introduced in 2004, the 1 Series brought something rather unusual to the compact segment for BMW – rear-wheel-drive driving dynamics, balanced handling and a more sporting character than was typical in this class.
This page features a range of 1 Series models, from the E87 hatchback to the E82 Coupé, E88 Cabrio and the later F20 generation, including more special sporting versions such as the 1M Coupé. Together, these cars show how BMW brought its dynamic driving experience into a smaller format while retaining both practicality and a strong model identity.
