Production began in December 2022 at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, USA. The BMW XM went on sale in 2023. Spartanburg was a suitable production location for the XM, as it is one of BMW’s key production centres for larger X models and SAV-type vehicles.
As this is a newer model, BMW has not clearly published a final total production number for the entire model range in the sources used here. However, it is known that the special BMW XM Label Red Edition was produced in a limited run of 500 cars. This underlines the more exclusive side of the XM model family and further distinguishes the Label Red Edition from the regular XM.
