BMW i Series

The i Series represents BMW’s world of electrified and forward-looking models, combining innovative technology, the idea of sustainability and the dynamic character typical of the brand. From early concept cars and development projects to production models, the i Series clearly shows how BMW has explored new ways of combining electric mobility, lightweight construction and modern design.

At the heart of this model line are those cars and concepts that were created as a clearly distinct and future-oriented part of the BMW i sub-brand. This page presents precisely that development line, from the early Z15 concept to the i8 Roadster. Later electric models that belong more directly to other BMW model families are placed in the collection under their respective series. In this way, the i Series page remains focused primarily on the original BMW i idea and its development.

Together, these models form an important chapter in BMW history, showing how the brand moved toward an electric and hybrid future while preserving its technical ambition, sporting identity and clearly distinctive design language.
