BMW iX (I20) tähistab BMW jaoks olulist sammu uude ajastusse, sest tegemist on mudeliga, mis loodi algusest peale täiselektrilisena ning mille kaudu tõi BMW oma luksusliku ja tehnoloogiliselt ambitsioonika linnamaasturi kontseptsiooni elektriautode maailma. 2022. aasta auto esindab iX mudelirea varast perioodi, mil BMW rõhutas eriti tugevalt futuristlikku disaini, digitaalset kasutajakogemust ja kestlikuma liikuvuse ideed. Võrreldes tavapäraste X-seeria mudelitega mõjub iX veelgi iseseisvama ja julgemana, ühendades suure kere, kõrge istumisasendi ja avara salongi lahendustega, mis on selgelt suunatud uuele elektrilise BMW ajastule.
Tehniliselt põhineb BMW iX täiesti uuel elektrilisel arhitektuuril ning kasutab kahte elektrimootorit ja nelikvedu. Mudelivalik sõltub konkreetsest versioonist, kuid iX üldine iseloom kujunes kiiresti selliseks, kus suur sõiduulatus, vaikne kulgemine, tugev jõudlus ja kõrgetasemeline mugavus käivad käsikäes. Minu kollektsioonis olev Minichampsi mudelauto kujutab 2022. aasta autot ning pärineb piiratud tiraažist, kokku toodeti 336 eksemplari.

The BMW iX (I20) marks an important step into a new era for BMW, because it was designed from the outset as a fully electric model and became the car through which BMW brought its luxurious and technologically ambitious SUV concept into the electric age. A 2022 car represents the early period of the iX model line, when BMW placed particular emphasis on futuristic design, digital user experience and the idea of more sustainable mobility. Compared with the more conventional X Series models, the iX feels even more independent and bold, combining a large body, elevated seating position and spacious interior with solutions clearly aimed at a new era of electric BMWs.
Technically, the BMW iX is based on a completely new electric architecture and uses two electric motors with all-wheel drive. The range depends on the specific version, but the overall character of the iX quickly became one in which long range, quiet driving, strong performance and a high level of comfort all come together. The iX is one of the models through which BMW showed that an electric SUV does not have to be merely practical, but can also be luxurious, technologically striking and confidently in line with the brand’s character. In this way, the iX is an important model not only in the development of BMW electric cars, but also in the wider story of the X Series.
The Minichamps model car in my collection represents a 2022 car and comes from a limited production run, with 336 pieces produced in total.
