BMW M6 Cabrio (E64) on teise põlvkonna M6 lahtine versioon, mis ühendas suure luksuskabrioleti iseloomu väga erilise BMW M tehnoloogiaga. Mudelit esitleti 2006. aastal ning see tõi M6 mudeliperekonda avatud kerevariandi, mis säilitas kupee jõudluse, kuid lisas sellele klassikalise suure neljakohalise kabrioleti sõiduelamuse. E64 M6 paistis silma elegantse proportsiooni, pehme tekstiilkatuse ja tagasihoidlikult sportliku välimusega, mille all peitus üks BMW M ajaloo kõige erilisemaid jõuallikaid.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW M6 Cabrio 5,0-liitrist vabalthingavat V10-mootorit S85, mille võimsus ulatus 507 hobujõuni ja pöördemoment 520 njuutonmeetrini. Jõud kanti tagaratastele seitsmekäigulise SMG III käigukasti kaudu ning 0–100 km/h kiirendus võttis umbes 4,8 sekundit. 2006. aasta auto on selle mudeli varase perioodi hea näide, sest just siis jõudis M6 Cabrio turule. BMW M andmetel toodeti kogu E63/E64 M6 põlvkonda kokku 14 152 autot, millest 5 065 olid kabrioletid.
Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang. Tegemist on piiratud tiraažiga ning mudelit toodeti 1104 eksemplari. Mudel kujutab 2006. aasta autot.

The BMW M6 Cabrio (E64) is the open-top version of the second-generation M6, combining the character of a large luxury convertible with some of BMW M’s most distinctive technology. It was introduced in 2006 and added an open-body variant to the M6 range, retaining the performance of the coupé while adding the experience of a classic large four-seat convertible. The E64 M6 stood out through its elegant proportions, soft-top roof and restrained sporting appearance, beneath which sat one of the most unusual engines in BMW M history.
Technically, the BMW M6 Cabrio used the naturally aspirated 5.0-litre S85 V10, producing 507 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed SMG III transmission, and 0–100 km/h took around 4.8 seconds. A 2006 car is a particularly good early example of the model, because that was the year the M6 Convertible entered the market. According to BMW M, total E63/E64 M6 production reached 14,152 cars, of which 5,065 were convertibles.
The model in my collection is produced by Minichamps. It is a limited edition of 1,104 pieces and represents a 2006 car.
