Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang.

BMW M1 is a mid-engined sports car that represents one of the most important and ambitious projects in the early history of BMW M GmbH. The model was introduced in 1978 and became the first independently developed production car by BMW M. Originally, the M1 was created to homologate the car for motorsport, but it quickly became one of the most iconic road cars in BMW history. Its sharp-edged design by Giorgetto Giugiaro, low body, and mid-mounted engine clearly set the M1 apart from all other BMW models of its era.
Technically, the BMW M1 was powered by a 3.5-litre inline-six engine producing 277 horsepower. Its top speed was around 265 km/h, making it one of the fastest German sports cars of its time. Between 1978 and 1981, a total of 453 BMW M1s were built, of which 399 were road-going production cars. In addition to the road version, the M1 also secured its place in motorsport history through the BMW M1 Procar championship, which further strengthened the model’s legendary status.
