BMW M3 M-Perfomance (G80)

BMW M3 M Performance (G80) ei ole eraldi ametlik mudeliversioon samas mõttes nagu tavaline M3 või M3 Competition, vaid viitab BMW M Performance Parts’iga varustatud G80 põlvkonna M3-le. 2021. aasta auto puhul tähendas see, et juba niigi väga jõulise välimuse ja sportliku olemusega M3-le lisati tehase lisavarustuse kaudu veelgi rajalähedasema ilmega detaile, nagu süsinikkiust aerodünaamilised lisad, eridisainiga veljed ja muud visuaalsed aktsendid. Just need detailid andsid autole tavalisest G80 M3-st veelgi teravama ja väljapeetuma ilme, rõhutades selle sidet BMW M motorspordi maailmaga. BMW tutvustas G80 ja G82 põlvkonna M Performance Partse juba mudeli turuletulekul 2020. aasta sügisel.
Tehniliselt põhines BMW M3 M Performance (G80) tavalisel G80 M3-l, mille jõuallikaks oli 3,0-liitrine kahe turboga ridakuues mootor. Baasversioonis arendas see 480 hobujõudu ning kasutas kuuekäigulist manuaalkäigukasti ja tagavedu, samas kui Competition-versioon pakkus 510 hobujõudu ja kaheksakäigulist automaatkäigukasti. Kuna M Performance tähistas siin eelkõige lisavarustuse ja välimuse täiustusi, mitte eraldi mootorivarianti, on kõige korrektsem käsitleda seda mudelit G80 M3 edasiarendusena, mille puhul rõhk on tehase sportlikel lisadel ja visuaalsel eristumisel.

The BMW M3 M Performance (G80) is not a separate official model version in the same sense as the regular M3 or M3 Competition, but rather refers to a G80-generation M3 fitted with BMW M Performance Parts. In the case of a 2021 car, this meant that an already very forceful-looking and highly sporting M3 received an even more track-inspired appearance through factory accessories such as carbon-fibre aerodynamic add-ons, distinctive wheel designs and other visual enhancements. These details gave the car an even sharper and more focused look than a standard G80 M3, underlining its connection to BMW M’s motorsport background. BMW introduced M Performance Parts for the G80 and G82 generation already at the model’s launch in autumn 2020.
Technically, the BMW M3 M Performance (G80) was based on the regular G80 M3, powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six engine. In standard form, this produced 480 horsepower and used a six-speed manual gearbox with rear-wheel drive, while the Competition version delivered 510 horsepower and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Because M Performance in this case primarily referred to factory add-on parts and styling upgrades rather than a separate engine variant, the most accurate way to describe it is as a G80 M3 enhanced with BMW’s own performance-oriented accessories and visual refinements.
