BMW Gran Turismo (F07) on eripärase kerekujuga 5. seeria mudel, mis ühendas sedaani, universaali ja luukpära omadused üheks tervikuks. Mudelit esitleti 2009. aastal ning see oli F10 põlvkonna esimene turule jõudnud versioon. F07 paistis silma kõrge katusejoone, avara salongi ja suure tagaluugiga, pakkudes rohkem ruumi ja mugavust kui tavapärane 5. seeria sedaan. BMW positsioneeris Gran Turismo mudeli neile, kes soovisid 5. seeriast rohkem praktilisust, kuid ei tahtnud loobuda kõrgema klassi mugavusest ja pikamaasõidu omadustest.

Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Schuco toodang. Tegemist on limiteeritud seeriaga ning mudelit toodeti 1000 eksemplari.

The BMW Gran Turismo (F07) is a distinctive 5 Series model that combined elements of a sedan, estate and hatchback into a single package. Introduced in 2009, it was the first version of the F10 generation to reach the market. The F07 stood out with its tall roofline, spacious interior and large tailgate, offering more room and comfort than the conventional 5 Series sedan. BMW positioned the Gran Turismo for customers who wanted greater practicality from a 5 Series without giving up upper-class comfort and long-distance ability.
Technically, the F07 Gran Turismo was offered with a range of petrol and diesel engines, including six-cylinder and V8 versions. Production began in September 2009 and continued until 2017. It was built in Dingolfing, and in the following generation this body concept was moved into the 6 Series family as the 6 Series Gran Turismo. The importance of the F07 lies in the fact that it was BMW’s attempt to create a distinct niche model that clearly differed from the standard 5 Series.
The model in my collection is produced by Schuco. It is a limited edition, with 1,000 model cars made.
