BMW M3 (E30)

BMW M3 (E30) on üks BMW ajaloo kõige legendaarsemaid sportmudeleid ning auto, mis pani aluse kogu M3 mudelirea mainele. M3 esitleti 1986. aastal homologatsioonimudelina, et võimaldada BMW-l osaleda edukalt turismiautode võidusõidus. Võrreldes tavalise E30 3. seeriaga eristus M3 märgatavalt laiema kere, muudetud aerodünaamika ja selgelt agressiivsema üldilmega. See oli auto, mis tõi rajatehnika tänavale ja muutus kiiresti üheks oma ajastu kõige olulisemaks sportkupeeks. BMW ise peab E30 M3-e kõige edukamaks turismiautoks, mis kunagi toodetud.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW M3 (E30) 2,3-liitrist neljasilindrilist mootorit, mille võimsus ulatus algversioonis 200 hobujõuni. Hilisemad arendused tõstsid võimsust veelgi, kuid juba esmane versioon pakkus oma ajastu kohta väga teravat ja vahetut sõiduelamust. 1987. aasta auto esindab M3 varast tootmisperioodi, mil mudel oli alles alustamas oma teed võidusõidu- ja tänavaautode legendina. Tootmine kestis 1986. aastast kuni 1991. aastani ning M3 tähtsus seisneb selles, et see ühendas kompaktse 3. seeria kere, motorspordist pärit tehnika ja väga puhta juhikeskse tunnetuse üheks BMW ajaloo kõige ikoonilisemaks tervikuks.

Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang. Tegemist on piiratud tiraažiga ning mudelit toodeti 3888 eksemplari. Mudel kujutab 1987. aasta autot.

The BMW M3 (E30) is one of the most legendary performance models in BMW history and the car that established the reputation of the entire M3 line. The M3 was introduced in 1986 as a homologation model, allowing BMW to compete successfully in touring car racing. Compared with the regular E30 3 Series, the M3 stood out through its much wider body, revised aerodynamics and clearly more aggressive overall appearance. It was the car that brought racing technology to the road and quickly became one of the most important sports coupés of its era. BMW itself regards the E30 M3 as the most successful touring car ever produced.
Technically, the BMW M3 (E30) used a 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine producing up to 200 horsepower in its original form. Later developments increased output further, but even the first version already delivered a very sharp and direct driving experience for its time. A 1987 car represents the early production period of the M3, when the model was only beginning its rise as a legend of both racing and road cars. Production lasted from 1986 to 1991, and the significance of the M3 lies in the way it combined the compact 3 Series body, motorsport-derived engineering and a very pure driver-focused feel into one of the most iconic packages in BMW history.

The model in my collection is produced by Minichamps. It is a limited edition of 3,888 pieces and represents a 1987 car.
