BMW M2 Competition (F87) on kompaktne kõrge jõudlusega kupee, mis viis väikese BMW M-mudeli kontseptsiooni senisest veelgi tõsisemaks sportautoks. Mudelit esitleti 2018. aastal ning see asendas senise BMW M2 Coupé võimsama ja tehniliselt edasiarendatud versioonina. Väliselt säilitas M2 Competition F87 põlvkonnale omase lühikese, laia ja jõulise hoiaku, kuid sai juurde mitmeid detaile, mis rõhutasid mudeli sportlikumat iseloomu – sealhulgas suuremad õhuavad, uue neeruvõre lahenduse ja M-peeglid.
Suurim muutus peitus tehnikaosas. BMW M2 Competition kasutas 3,0-liitrist kahe turboga ridakuut S55, mis oli pärit suurematelt M3 ja M4 mudelitelt. Mootor arendas 410 hobujõudu ja 550 njuutonmeetrit pöördemomenti, andes väikesele tagaveolisele kupeele väga tugeva sooritusvõime. Mudelit pakuti nii kuuekäigulise manuaalkäigukasti kui ka seitsmekäigulise M DCT automaatkäigukastiga. Tootmine kestis kuni 2021. aastani.
M2 Competition on paljude BMW entusiastide jaoks üks viimaste aastate kõige puhtama tunnetusega M-mudeleid, sest see ühendas kompaktsed mõõtmed, tagaveo, võimsa kuuesilindrilise mootori ja juhikeskse iseloomu. Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang. Tegemist on piiratud tiraažiga mudeliga, mida toodeti 300 eksemplari. Mudel kujutab 2019. aasta autot.

BMW M2 Competition (F87) is a compact high-performance coupé that took the concept of the small BMW M model to an even more serious sports car level. The model was introduced in 2018 and replaced the previous BMW M2 Coupé as a more powerful and technically further developed version. Visually, the M2 Competition retained the short, wide and muscular stance typical of the F87 generation, but gained several details that emphasised its more sporting character, including larger air intakes, a new kidney grille design and M mirrors.
The biggest change was found under the bonnet. The BMW M2 Competition used the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged S55 straight-six engine, derived from the larger M3 and M4 models. The engine produced 410 hp and 550 Nm of torque, giving the small rear-wheel-drive coupé very strong performance. The model was available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed M DCT automatic transmission. Production continued until 2021.
For many BMW enthusiasts, the M2 Competition is one of the most pure-feeling M models of recent years, combining compact dimensions, rear-wheel drive, a powerful six-cylinder engine and a driver-focused character. It was also an important step between the regular M2 Coupé and the later limited-production M2 CS.
The model in my collection is produced by Minichamps. It is a limited-edition model, with only 300 pieces produced. The model represents a 2019 car.
