AC Schnitzer ACL2 (F22) on BMW 2. seeria Coupé põhjal loodud radikaalne erimudel, mis näitas, kui kaugele oli võimalik kompaktse BMW kupee kontseptsiooni viia. Mudelit esitleti 2016. aastal ning see põhines väliselt BMW M235i-l, kuid oli tehniliselt palju lähemal täisverelisele ringrajaautole. Laiendatud kere, agressiivne aerodünaamika ja väga jõuline hoiak muutsid ACL2 üheks silmapaistvamaks AC Schnitzeri loodud BMW-ks viimaste aastate jooksul. Tegemist ei olnud tavapärase tootmismudeliga, vaid väga eksklusiivse arendusprojektiga, mille eesmärk oli näidata AC Schnitzeri võimekust BMW mudelite edasiarendamisel.
Tehniliselt sai ACL2 endale BMW M4-st pärineva 3,0-liitrise S55 biturbo ridakuue, mille võimsus ulatus 570 hobujõuni ja pöördemoment 750 njuutonmeetrini. Jõud kanti tagaratastele kuuekäigulise manuaalkäigukasti kaudu ning auto tippkiirus ulatus umbes 330 km/h-ni. Lisaks võimsale mootorile kasutati mudelil ulatuslikke šassii-, piduri- ja aerodünaamikamuudatusi, mis tegid ACL2-st ühe äärmuslikuma F22-põhise BMW erimudeli.
Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang. Mudelit toodeti 555 eksemplari ja kõik mudelid on eraldi nummerdatud. Minu kogus oleva mudeli number on 401.

The AC Schnitzer ACL2 (F22) is a radical special model based on the BMW 2 Series Coupé, showing just how far the concept of a compact BMW coupé could be pushed. It was unveiled in 2016 and was visually based on the BMW M235i, but technically it was much closer to a full-blooded track-focused machine. Its widened body, aggressive aerodynamics and extremely purposeful stance made the ACL2 one of the most striking BMW-based creations ever built by AC Schnitzer in recent years. It was not a conventional production model, but a highly exclusive development project created to demonstrate AC Schnitzer’s engineering capabilities.
Technically, the ACL2 received the 3.0-litre twin-turbo S55 inline-six from the BMW M4, producing 570 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox, and the car reached a top speed of around 330 km/h. Together with extensive suspension, brake and aerodynamic modifications, this made the ACL2 one of the most extreme BMW specials ever based on the F22 platform.
The model in my collection is produced by Minichamps. A total of 555 model cars were made, and each one is individually numbered. The model in my collection is number 401.
