BMW M4 CSL (G82) on G82 põlvkonna kõige äärmuslikum ja rajakesksem seeriaversioon, mis tõi tagasi legendaarse CSL tähistuse BMW M mudelivalikusse. Mudelit esitleti 2022. aastal BMW M 50. sünnipäeva tähistamise ajal ning see loodi veelgi teravama alternatiivina juba niigi väga võimekale M4 Competition Coupéle. Võrreldes tavamudeliga eristus M4 CSL agressiivsema aerodünaamika, väiksema massi, kaheistmelise salongi ja sihipärasema seadistusega, mis rõhutasid selgelt selle ringrajale suunatud iseloomu. BMW positsioneeris mudeli kui kaasaegse tõlgenduse ajaloolisest CSL kontseptsioonist – vähem massi, rohkem jõudlust ja veelgi otsesem sõidukogemus.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW M4 CSL 3,0-liitrist kahe turboga ridakuut, mille võimsus ulatus 550 hobujõuni. Jõud suunati tagaratastele ning 0–100 km/h kiirendus võttis 3,7 sekundit, tippkiiruseks oli elektrooniliselt piiratud 307 km/h. Tootmine algas Dingolfingi tehases 2022. aasta juulis ning BMW teatas ametlikult, et mudelit valmistatakse täpselt 1000 eksemplari. See teeb M4 CSL-ist ühe kõige olulisema ja ihaldusväärsema kaasaegse BMW M erimudeli, eriti kuna see tõstis G82 mudeliperekonna võimekuse uuele tasemele pärast M4 Competitionit.

The BMW M4 CSL (G82) is the most extreme and track-focused production version of the G82 generation, bringing the legendary CSL designation back into the BMW M model range. It was unveiled in 2022 during BMW M’s 50th anniversary celebrations and was created as an even sharper alternative to the already highly capable M4 Competition Coupé. Compared with the standard model, the M4 CSL stood out through more aggressive aerodynamics, reduced weight, a two-seat interior and a more focused setup that clearly underlined its circuit-oriented character. BMW positioned the car as a modern interpretation of the historic CSL idea – less weight, more performance and a more direct driving experience.
Technically, the BMW M4 CSL used a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six producing 550 horsepower. Power was sent to the rear wheels, 0–100 km/h took 3.7 seconds, and top speed was electronically limited to 307 km/h. Production began at BMW Group Plant Dingolfing in July 2022, and BMW officially announced that the model would be built in exactly 1,000 examples. That makes the M4 CSL one of the most important and desirable modern BMW M special models, especially as it pushed the G82 model family to a new level after the M4 Competition.
