BMW 635 CSi (E24) on esimese põlvkonna 6. seeria kupee, mida peetakse üheks BMW klassikalise grand tourer’i ajastu kõige iseloomulikumaks mudeliks. The BMW 635 CSi (E24) is a first-generation 6 Series coupé that is widely regarded as one of the most characteristic models of BMW’s classic grand touring era. The E24 generation arrived in the second half of the 1970s, and the 635 CSi quickly became one of the most important versions in the range. With its long bonnet, low coupé body and elegant yet sporting design, it combined luxury, performance and strong long-distance ability in a very typical BMW way. The E24 was also a notably long-lived model, remaining in production for 13 years according to BMW Group Classic.
Technically, the BMW 635 CSi used a 3.5-litre inline-six producing 218 horsepower and reaching a top speed of around 222 km/h. The year 1982 was important for the E24 because the model was updated in several areas and adopted more technical components from the E28 5 Series; from May 1982 onward, the 635 CSi also changed from 3453 cc to a 3430 cc engine version. For that reason, a 1982 car is a good example of how the E24 evolved into a more mature and technically refined coupé during its production life.
