BMW 323i Martini – Delbar – Boucles de Spa 1980 oli üks neist ralliautodest, mis näitas väga hästi, kui tugevaks konkurendiks kujunes BMW E21 põlvkonna 323i Euroopa ralliradadel. 1980. aasta Boucles de Spa kuulus oma aja tuntumate ja nõudlikumate Belgia rallide hulka ning võidusõidunumbrit 14 kandnud auto seostub sõitjate Hermès Delbari ja Willy Luxiga. Martini värvilahendus andis sellele BMW-le eriti ajastutruu ja meeldejääva ilme, mis sobis hästi kokku E21 323i sportliku karakteriga. The BMW 323i Martini – Delbar – Boucles de Spa 1980 was one of those rally cars that showed very clearly how strong a competitor the BMW E21-generation 323i had become on European rally stages. The 1980 Boucles de Spa was one of the better-known and more demanding Belgian rallies of its time, and the car carrying racing number 14 is associated with drivers Hermès Delbar and Willy Lux. Its Martini livery gave this BMW a particularly period-correct and memorable appearance, well suited to the sporting character of the E21 323i. In this way, the car represents an era in which BMW’s rear-wheel-drive six-cylinder sedans were highly regarded in rallying for their balance, reliability and handling.
