Sisemuses leidus nahkpolster, puidust viimistlus ja mitmed detailid, mis olid käsitsi valmistatud.
Tootmist jätkati kuni 1941. aastani, mil sõda selle katkestas. Huvitaval kombel jätkus 327 mudeli tootmine ka pärast sõda Ida-Saksamaal, kus Eisenachi tehases valmistati 327-t BMW nime all kuni 1952. aastani, pärast mida jätkati sama mudeli tootmist nimega EMW 327. Need autod nägid välja pea identsed, kuid kandsid punase-valge embleemi.
Kokku toodeti enne sõda umbes 1 400 kabrioletti, millele lisandus sõjajärgselt umbes 500 autot. Originaalkujul säilinuna on 327 Cabriolet tänapäeval väga hinnatud kollektsioneerimisobjekt.

The BMW 327 Cabriolet was one of the most elegant and technically advanced cars produced by BMW before the outbreak of World War II. First introduced in 1937, it offered a luxury-class vehicle that combined streamlined design, high-quality craftsmanship, and sporty driving characteristics.
The car was available as a two-door cabriolet and later also as a coupé, but the cabriolet version became, for many, the embodiment of the era’s aesthetic and technical excellence. Under the hood was a 2.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine producing 55 horsepower, allowing for a top speed of approximately 125 km/h—an impressive achievement for a luxury car of the late 1930s.
The 327 also stood out for its distinctive appearance: gently curved front fenders, a low windshield, a long hood, and a separately opening trunk lid gave it a look that was considered both modern and sporty for its time. The interior featured leather upholstery, wood trim, and numerous handcrafted details.
Production continued until 1941, when the war brought it to a halt. Interestingly, the 327 model was also produced after the war in East Germany, where the Eisenach factory manufactured the 327 under the BMW name until 1952, after which production continued under the name EMW 327. These postwar cars looked nearly identical but bore a red-and-white emblem instead of BMW’s traditional blue-and-white badge.
Roughly 1,400 cabriolets were produced before the war, with around 500 more built afterward. When preserved in original condition, the 327 Cabriolet is today a highly valued collector’s item.
