BMW DIXI Eil-Lieferwagen “Deutsche Reichspost” kuulub BMW autoloo kõige varasemasse perioodi ning näitab hästi, et DIXI põhjal ei loodud ainult väikseid sõiduautosid, vaid ka tarbesõidukeid. 1920. aastate lõpus ja 1930. aastate alguses kujunes DIXI/BMW 3/15 väikeauto oluliseks aluseks mitmele erinevale keretüübile, sealhulgas ka kergele kaubaveoks mõeldud variandile. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, the DIXI/BMW 3/15 became an important basis for several body styles, including utility-oriented delivery versions.
