BMW 507 on üks ikoonilisemaid ja elegantsemaid sportautosid, mis kunagi BMW märki kandnud. The BMW 507 is one of the most iconic and elegant sports cars ever to wear the BMW badge. Officially, it was produced between 1956 and 1959 solely as a roadster, but a small number of closed-roof variations were also created, often referred to as the BMW 507 Coupé or Hardtop. Some of these were factory-made removable hardtops, while others were custom-bodied versions built later by renowned coachbuilders such as Baur or Bertone.
The car was designed by the legendary Albrecht Graf von Goertz—its flowing body lines, long hood, signature twin-kidney grille, and low-slung stance made it a direct rival to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. The BMW 507 was powered by a 3.2-liter V8 engine, producing 150 horsepower and capable of reaching a top speed of up to 220 km/h—an outstanding achievement for the late 1950s.
Despite its superb design and driving characteristics, the BMW 507 was extremely expensive and had limited commercial success—only 252 examples were ever produced.
The scale model was manufactured by Schuco. It is part of a limited edition, with a total of 500 units produced.
