BMW Baur 1600-2 Coupé on haruldane ja vähetuntud sõiduk, mis valmis 1967. aastal Saksamaal koostöös tuntud keretootjaga Karosserie Baur. The BMW Baur 1600-2 Coupé is a rare and little-known vehicle that was produced in 1967 in Germany in collaboration with the renowned coachbuilder Karosserie Baur. The car was based on the BMW 1600-2 model, which belonged to the BMW 02 series, but under Baur’s craftsmanship, it received an elegant and streamlined coupé body design that differed significantly from the models produced by BMW itself. The goal was to create a more exclusive and luxurious alternative to the standard 1600-2 model, offering customers a sportier appearance and more distinctive style. Technically, the vehicle was equipped with a 1,573 cm³ four-cylinder engine, which produced 85 horsepower (63 kW) and allowed for a top speed of approximately 160 km/h. The engine code was M10, known for its reliability and good driving characteristics. The transmission was a 4-speed manual, and the car featured independent suspension and front disc brakes. The BMW Baur 1600-2 Coupé remained a model with very limited production numbers, the exact quantity of which is unknown, but it is estimated that only a very small number were made, making it a true rarity. Baur later focused more on the production of convertibles and targa-type bodies.
