BMW 550i Sedan (F10) on kuuenda põlvkonna 5. seeria üks võimsamaid tavaversioone, mis ühendas luksusliku ärisedaani iseloomu tugeva V8-mootoriga. Mudelit esitleti 2009. aastal koos uue F10 põlvkonnaga ning see kujutas endast mudelirea tippu enne eraldi M5 saabumist. F10 põlvkond tõi 5. seeriasse varasemast elegantsema ja voolujoonelisema disaini, rohkem juhiabisüsteeme ning kõrgema üldise rafineerituse taseme, samal ajal kui 550i lisas sellesse kooslusesse ka väga tõsise jõudluse.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW 550i Sedan 4,4-liitrist twin-turbo V8-mootorit, mille võimsus ulatus esialgu 407 hobujõuni ja pöördemoment 600 njuutonmeetrini. Kiirendus 0–100 km/h võttis umbes 5,0 sekundit ning tippkiirus oli elektrooniliselt piiratud 250 km/h-ni. Tootmine toimus peamiselt Dingolfingis ning 550i jäi kogu F10 mudelipere üheks ihaldusväärsemaks versiooniks, pakkudes M5-st tagasihoidlikumat välimust, kuid siiski väga kõrget suutlikkust.
Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Schuco toodang ja tegemist on BMW ametliku edasimüüjamudeliga.

The BMW 550i Sedan (F10) is one of the most powerful regular versions of the sixth-generation 5 Series, combining the character of a luxury executive sedan with a strong V8 engine. It was introduced in 2009 with the new F10 generation and represented the top of the standard range before the separate M5 arrived. The F10 brought a more elegant and flowing design language to the 5 Series, along with more driver assistance systems and a higher overall level of refinement, while the 550i added genuinely serious performance to that package.
Technically, the BMW 550i Sedan used a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing initially 407 horsepower and 600 Nm of torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h took around 5.0 seconds, while top speed was electronically limited to 250 km/h. Production took place mainly in Dingolfing, and the 550i remained one of the most desirable versions of the F10 family, offering a more understated appearance than the M5 while still delivering very high performance.
The model in my collection is produced by Schuco and is an official BMW dealer edition.
