BMW 1M Coupé (E82) esitleti 2011. aastal kui kompaktset, kuid erakordselt jõulist sportautot, mis kandis väga selgelt edasi BMW M-divisjoni olemust. Tegemist oli esimese korraga, kui BMW M GmbH rakendas oma inseneriteadmised 1. seeria Coupé kerel, luues auto, mis ühendas väiksed mõõtmed, klassikalise tagaveo ja M-mudelitele omase täpse juhitavuse. Võrreldes tavalise E82 Coupéga sai 1M laiemad rattakoopad, agressiivsema kerekuju ja selgelt sportlikuma üldmulje, mis tegi sellest kohe ühe kõige isikupärasema väikse BMW kupee oma ajastul.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW 1M Coupé 3,0-liitrist kuuesilindrilist twin-turbo mootorit N54, mille võimsus ulatus 340 hobujõuni ja pöördemoment 450 njuutonmeetrini, overboost-funktsiooniga hetkeks kuni 500 njuutonmeetrini. Jõud kanti tagaratastele ainult kuuekäigulise manuaalkäigukasti kaudu ning 0–100 km/h kiirendus võttis 4,9 sekundit. 1M-i vedrustus, pidurid ja mitmed šassiilahendused olid tugevalt seotud suuremate M-mudelite tehnikaga, mis andis sellele väga vahetu ja mehaaniliselt eheda sõidutunde. Tootmine kestis vaid lühikest aega, 2011. aastast 2012. aastani, ning just piiratud tootmismaht on aidanud muuta 1M Coupé üheks hinnatumaks modernseks BMW klassikuks.
Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi toodang. Tegemist on piiratud tiraažiga ning mudelit toodeti 1008 eksemplari.

The BMW 1M Coupé (E82) was introduced in 2011 as a compact yet exceptionally powerful sports car that very clearly carried the DNA of BMW’s M division. It marked the first time BMW M GmbH applied its engineering to the 1 Series Coupé body, creating a car that combined small dimensions, classic rear-wheel drive and the precise handling expected of an M model. Compared with the regular E82 Coupé, the 1M received wider wheel arches, a more aggressive body and a much more purposeful overall appearance, immediately making it one of the most distinctive small BMW coupés of its era.
Technically, the BMW 1M Coupé used the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged N54 inline-six, producing 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, with an overboost function raising torque briefly to 500 Nm. Power was sent to the rear wheels exclusively through a six-speed manual gearbox, and 0–100 km/h took 4.9 seconds. Its suspension, brakes and several chassis elements were closely related to larger M cars, giving the 1M a very direct and mechanically authentic driving feel. Production lasted only a short time, from 2011 to 2012, and that limited run has helped turn the 1M Coupé into one of the most highly regarded modern BMW classics.
