BMW M2 (G87) tähistab BMW kompaktsete sportkupeede loos uut ajastut, kus klassikaline tagaveoline sõiduelamus on ühendatud veelgi jõulisema välimuse ja kaasaegse tehnoloogiaga. 2023. aasta auto esindab selle põlvkonna algust ning näitab hästi, kuidas BMW on hoidnud M2 mudeli juures alles selle kõige olulisema olemuse: suhteliselt kompaktsed mõõtmed, tugev kuuesilindriline mootor ja väga juhikeskne iseloom. Võrreldes varasema M2-ga mõjub G87 teadlikult jõulisemalt ja kandilisemalt, rõhutades veelgi enam oma kuulumist BMW M-mudelite maailma.
Tehniliselt kasutab BMW M2 (G87) 3,0-liitrist kahe turboga ridakuut, mis annab autole väga tugeva jõudluse ja margile omase sujuva, kuid samas agressiivse iseloomu. Tagavedu, lai rööbe ja M-osakonna poolt põhjalikult häälestatud veermik annavad sellele mudelile väga kindla koha tänapäevaste sportkupeede seas. The BMW M2 (G87) marks a new era in the history of BMW’s compact performance coupés, combining the classic rear-wheel-drive driving experience with even more muscular styling and modern technology. A 2023 car represents the beginning of this generation and clearly shows how BMW has preserved the most important qualities of the M2: relatively compact dimensions, a strong six-cylinder engine and a very driver-focused character. Compared with the previous M2, the G87 appears deliberately more forceful and angular, emphasizing even more clearly its place in the world of BMW M cars.
Technically, the BMW M2 (G87) uses a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, giving the car very strong performance and the smooth yet aggressive character typical of the marque. Rear-wheel drive, a wide track and suspension thoroughly tuned by BMW M give this model a very secure place among modern sports coupés. The G87-generation M2 is also an important model because, at a time when electrification is becoming ever more widespread, it continues BMW’s traditional line of compact high-performance petrol-powered coupés. In this way, the car represents both the classic M philosophy and its modern interpretation.
The Minichamps model car in my collection represents a 2023 car and comes from a limited production run, with 336 pieces produced in total.
