BMW 328i Touring (E36)

BMW 328i Touring (E36) kuulus kolmanda põlvkonna 3. seeria kõige jõulisemate ja ihaldusväärsemate praktiliste mudelite hulka. E36 Touring esitleti 1995. aastal ning see tõi 3. seeria maailma viienda kerevariandi, ühendades universaalkere praktilisuse ja BMW-le omase sportliku sõidutunde. 328i Touring paistis silma just selle poolest, et ühendas kuuesilindrilise mootori, tagaveolise arhitektuuri ja igapäevase kasutatavuse üheks väga tasakaalustatud tervikuks. E36 Touring oli oluline mudel ka seetõttu, et see kinnistas 3. seeria Touringu kui püsiva osa BMW mudelivalikust.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW 328i Touring 2,8-liitrist ridakuue mootorit, mille võimsus ulatus 193 hobujõuni. Tootmine kestis 1995. aastast 1999. aastani ning mudel pakkus oma aja kohta väga head segu jõudlusest, sujuvusest ja praktilisusest. 328i Touring tähtsus seisneb selles, et see näitas väga hästi, kuidas BMW suutis teha universaalkerega auto, mis ei olnud ainult praktiline, vaid ka selgelt sportliku iseloomuga.

The BMW 328i Touring (E36) was one of the most desirable and most powerful practical models of the third-generation 3 Series. The E36 Touring was introduced in 1995 and added a fifth body style to the 3 Series range, combining estate-car practicality with the sporting driving feel traditionally associated with BMW. The 328i Touring stood out in particular because it brought together a six-cylinder engine, rear-wheel-drive architecture and everyday usability in one very well-balanced package. The E36 Touring was also important because it firmly established the 3 Series Touring as a permanent part of BMW’s model range.
Technically, the BMW 328i Touring used a 2.8-litre inline-six producing 193 horsepower. Production lasted from 1995 to 1999, and the model offered a very strong blend of performance, smoothness and practicality for its time. The significance of the 328i Touring lies in how clearly it showed that BMW could make an estate car that was not only practical, but also distinctly sporting in character.
