BMW 320i Streetversion (E46/4)

BMW 320i Streetversion (E46/4) kuulub nende E46 põlvkonna mudelite hulka, mis tõlgendavad tavalist 3. seeria sedaani märksa jõulisemal ja rajalikumal moel. Kuigi auto põhineb E46 neljaukselisel kerel, eristub see tavaversioonist laiendatud kere, agressiivsema ilme ja selgelt sportlikuma üldmuljega. Just see teeb Street Versionist huvitava kõrvalharu E46 mudelipere sees.
Mudeli puhul on tähelepanuväärne see, et tavalise sedaani vorm ühendati siin visuaalselt palju ekstreemsema lähenemisega. Street Version ei mõju lihtsalt ühe järjekordse 320i-na, vaid pigem eriversioonina, milles on ühendatud maanteesõiduauto ja võistluslikuma kujunduse jooned. Tegu on võistlusautost inspireeritud Street Versioniga, mille ilmes on selgelt tunda DTC, ETCC ja WTCC stiilis E46 ringrajaautode mõju, kuid ilma sponsorreklaamide ja võistlustähistuseta. Seetõttu lisab see E46 mudeliritta midagi oluliselt teistsugust kui tavapärased sedaanid, kupeed või universaalid.

Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Minichampsi piiratud tiraažiga toodang, mida valmistati 1008 eksemplari ning see kujutab 2005. aasta autot.

BMW 320i Streetversion (E46/4) belongs to the group of E46-generation models that reinterpret the standard 3 Series saloon in a much more aggressive and track-inspired way. Although the car is based on the four-door E46 body, it stands apart from the regular version through its widened bodywork, more aggressive appearance and clearly more sporting overall character. This is exactly what makes the Street Version an interesting side branch within the E46 model range.
What is particularly striking about this model is the way the shape of an ordinary saloon was combined here with a much more extreme visual approach. The Street Version does not come across as just another 320i, but rather as a special version in which the lines of a road car are combined with a more competition-inspired design. It is a Street Version influenced by racing cars, and its appearance clearly reflects the style of E46 touring cars from DTC, ETCC and WTCC, though without sponsor decals or racing markings. For that reason, it adds something distinctly different to the E46 line-up than the usual saloons, coupés or touring models.

The model in my collection is a limited-edition Minichamps release, produced in 1008 pieces, and it represents the 2005 car.
