BMW 328 Touring (E46)

BMW 328i Touring (E46) oli mudel, millega BMW ühendas E46 põlvkonna universaalkere praktilisuse kuuesilindrilise mootori sujuvuse ja jõulisusega. 1999. aastal turule jõudnud 328i Touring oli selle keretüübi valiku tippmudel ning pakkus märksa sportlikumat iseloomu kui väiksemate mootoritega versioonid. Nagu kogu E46 Touring, ühendas ka see mudel pikema katusejoone, suurema pagasiruumi ja igapäevase kasutusväärtuse BMW-le omase tasakaaluka juhitavuse ning klassikalise tagaveolise sõidutunnetusega. Just see praktilisuse ja ridakuuesest mootorist tuleneva väärika iseloomu kooslus teeb 328i Touringust ühe hinnatuma varase E46 universaali.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW 328i Touring 2,8-liitrist ridakuues mootorit tähisega M52B28TÜ, mille töömaht oli 2793 cm³ ja võimsus 193 hobujõudu. Mootoril oli Double VANOS ning see vastas Euro 3 nõuetele, säilitades samal ajal eelkäijaga võrreldes sama võimsuse. BMW Group Classicu andmetel oli 328i Touring E46 Touringu mudelirea kõige võimsam versioon selle turuletuleku hetkel. Kogu E46 Touring kereversiooni toodeti aastatel 1999–2005 kokku 428 061 eksemplari. 328i enda tootmisaeg jäi lühemaks, sest hiljem asendus see uuema 330i versiooniga, mis annab sellele mudelile E46 Touringu arenguloos selgelt eristuva koha.

Minu kollektsioonis olev Minichampsi mudel kujutab 1999. aasta autot ja on limiteeritud 1632 eksemplarile.

The BMW 328i Touring (E46) was the model that combined the practicality of the E46 estate body with the smoothness and strength of a six-cylinder engine. Introduced in 1999, the 328i Touring was the top version of the Touring range at launch and offered a noticeably more sporting character than the smaller-engined variants. Like the E46 Touring as a whole, it brought together a longer roofline, greater luggage capacity and everyday usability with BMW’s trademark balanced handling and classic rear-wheel-drive feel. It is precisely this combination of practicality and the refined character of the inline-six that makes the 328i Touring one of the most appreciated early E46 estates.
Technically, the BMW 328i Touring used the 2.8-litre inline-six engine known as the M52B28TÜ, with a displacement of 2793 cc and an output of 193 horsepower. The engine featured Double VANOS and complied with Euro 3 emissions standards while maintaining the same power output as its predecessor. According to BMW Group Classic, the 328i Touring was the most powerful version of the E46 Touring range when it was launched. Total E46 Touring production from 1999 to 2005 reached 428,061 cars. The 328i itself had a shorter production run, as it was later replaced by the newer 330i, giving it a clearly defined place in the development history of the E46 Touring.

The Minichamps model in my collection represents a 1999 car and is limited to 1,632 pieces.
