BMW M3 Coupe (E92)

BMW M3 Coupé (E92) oli mudel, millega BMW viis M3 täiesti uude suunda, tuues selle põlvkonna südameks vabalthingava V8-mootori. 2007. aastal esitletud E92 M3 eristus tavalisest 3. seeria Coupést laiemate poritiibade, jõulisema kapoti, nelja väljalaskeotsa ja palju agressiivsema üldmuljega. Samas säilitas see siiski BMW-le omase tasakaalu, ühendades väga kõrge jõudluse, igapäevase kasutatavuse ja elegantse kupeekere. 2008. aasta auto kujutas endast selle põlvkonna varast ja väga iseloomulikku versiooni, mida peetakse sageli viimaseks klassikalise vabalthingava M3 ajastu tipuks.
Tehniliselt kasutas BMW M3 Coupé (E92) 4,0-liitrist V8-mootorit tähisega S65B40, mille töömaht oli 3999 cm³ ja võimsus 420 hobujõudu. Jõud kanti tagaratastele kuuekäigulise manuaalkäigukasti või seitsmekäigulise M DCT kaudu ning just see mootor andis E92 M3-le täiesti omaette koha BMW M-ajaloos. Tootmine kestis 2007. aastast 2013. aastani ning E92 M3 Coupéd valmis kokku 40 092 eksemplari. See teeb sellest ühe olulisema ja hinnatuma kaasaegse M3 põlvkonna, mis ühendas kõrge pöördepiiriga vabalthingava V8, tagaveo ja klassikalise kupeekere väga terviklikuks sportautoks.

Minu kollektsioonis olev Minichampsi mudelauto kujutab 2008. aasta autot ning pärineb piiratud tiraažist, kokku toodeti 2352 eksemplari.

The BMW M3 Coupé (E92) was the model that took the M3 in a completely new direction by giving this generation a naturally aspirated V8 engine. Introduced in 2007, the E92 M3 stood apart from the regular 3 Series Coupé through its wider fenders, more muscular bonnet, quad exhaust outlets and much more aggressive overall character. At the same time, it still retained BMW’s trademark balance by combining very high performance, everyday usability and an elegant coupé body. A 2008 car represents an early and highly characteristic version of this generation, often regarded as one of the last great naturally aspirated M3s.
Technically, the BMW M3 Coupé (E92) used the 4.0-litre V8 engine known as the S65B40, with a displacement of 3999 cc and an output of 420 horsepower. Power was sent to the rear wheels through either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed M DCT transmission, and it was this engine that gave the E92 M3 a unique place in BMW M history. Production lasted from 2007 to 2013, and a total of 40,092 E92 M3 Coupés were built. This makes it one of the most important and most highly regarded modern M3 generations, combining a high-revving naturally aspirated V8, rear-wheel drive and the classic coupé body into a very complete performance car.

The Minichamps model car in my collection represents a 2008 car and comes from a limited production run, with 2,352 pieces produced in total.
