BMW AC Schnitzer M3 Competition (G80) oli mudel, mis näitas hästi, kuidas AC Schnitzer suutis BMW juba niigi väga võimeka M3 Competitioni muuta veelgi jõulisemaks ja silmatorkavamaks tervikuks. G80 põlvkonna M3 Competition oli tehasest tulles juba väga kõrge jõudlusega sportlik sedaan, kuid AC Schnitzeri tõlgendus lisas sellele veelgi agressiivsema ilme, sportlikuma aerodünaamika ja tugevama tehnilise enesekindluse. Just sellised mudelid on AC Schnitzeri puhul iseloomulikud, sest need ei ole lihtsalt visuaalselt muudetud BMW-d, vaid terviklikud edasiarendused, milles kohtuvad disain, jõudlus ja maanteesõiduks sobiv praktilisus.
Tehniliselt põhineb AC Schnitzeri versioon BMW M3 Competitionil, mille 3,0-liitrine kahe turboga ridakuues mootor arendab tehaseseades 510 hobujõudu. AC Schnitzeri ametlike andmete järgi tõsteti selle mudeli võimsus 590 hobujõuni ja pöördemoment 750 njuutonmeetrini. Lisaks jõuallikale pakkus AC Schnitzer G80 jaoks ka oma vedrustuslahendusi, aerodünaamilisi lisasid, väljalaskesüsteemi ja velgi, mis muutsid auto veelgi teravamaks nii välimuselt kui ka iseloomult. See teeb AC Schnitzer M3 Competitionist ühe huvitavama kaasaegse BMW edasiarenduse, milles on ühendatud tehase M-auto tugev baas ja Saksa tuuningumaja selgelt äratuntav lähenemine.

The BMW AC Schnitzer M3 Competition (G80) was a model that showed very clearly how AC Schnitzer could turn BMW’s already highly capable M3 Competition into an even more forceful and distinctive package. The G80-generation M3 Competition already left the factory as a very high-performance sports sedan, but AC Schnitzer’s interpretation gave it an even more aggressive appearance, sportier aerodynamics and a stronger technical identity. This is exactly what characterises AC Schnitzer models, because they are not merely visually modified BMWs, but complete developments in which design, performance and real-road usability come together.
Technically, the AC Schnitzer version is based on the BMW M3 Competition, whose 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six produces 510 horsepower in factory form. According to AC Schnitzer’s official figures, output was increased to 590 horsepower and torque to 750 Nm. In addition to the engine upgrade, AC Schnitzer also offered its own suspension solutions, aerodynamic parts, exhaust system and wheels for the G80, making the car even sharper both visually and in character. This makes the AC Schnitzer M3 Competition one of the more interesting modern BMW derivatives, combining the strong foundation of the factory M car with the clearly recognisable approach of the German tuning house.
