Just sellised autod aitasid kujundada Alpina mainet BMW-de peene, kuid väga tõsiseltvõetava edasiarendajana.
Alpina roll BMW 3.0 CSL-i loos oli oluline juba mudeli varases arengufaasis.
Minu kollektsioonis olev mudel on Sparki toodang.

The BMW Alpina CSL (E9) belongs to the group of models in which BMW’s 1970s coupé design and Alpina’s sporting interpretation meet in a particularly convincing way. BMW coupés based on the E9 body were already among the most elegant and distinctive BMWs of their era, but Alpina added even more character, power and individuality to that foundation. Cars like these helped establish Alpina’s reputation as a refined yet highly serious developer of BMW automobiles.
Alpina’s role in the story of the BMW 3.0 CSL was significant already during the model’s early development phase. The BMW 3.0 CSL was originally created as a lighter and more sporting homologation model, and Alpina was involved both in shaping its concept and in later customer-specific developments. In the early 1970s, this meant that alongside the elegant E9 coupé there emerged even sharper variants in which luxurious gran turismo character was combined with a more competition-oriented and technically ambitious approach.
The significance of the BMW Alpina CSL (E9) lies above all in the fact that it represents a period when Alpina was not yet simply a name alongside BMW, but a rapidly emerging legend in its own right. Alpina models based on the E9 generation helped strengthen both Alpina’s and BMW’s sporting image, and today they belong among the most desirable classic BMWs in tuning history. It is an interesting chapter in the history of both the E9 model family and Alpina’s early development.
